Description : We currently have an opening for a Construction Manager with a New York City Public Agency. This position requires expertise in overall construction management as well as great interpersonal and leadership skills. As a Construction Manager, you will provide the following: Administration and coordination of activities for the construction of new school buildings or the renovation of existing school buildings. Review design documents for accuracy and completeness to minimize Change Orders. Visit various sites to ensure quality and safe construction operations by the contractors. Assure the quality and high standard of performance by all contractors, consultants, vendors, etc. Make decisions and take action in a timely manner to ensure timely completion of the construction projects.

Role : Contingent Safety Inspector

Experience : Must have 1 year of experience in bridge & highway inspection.

Description : Our client is looking to fill two (2) open positions for Contingent Safety Inspector. The successful candidate will be field based in the five boroughs and reporting to a designated Managing Inspector. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct unannounced site-specific safety compliance inspections on all assigned projects. Inspections will include review of all relevant site documentation, a physical inspection of the active work site area including; staging, storage, roofs, scaffold, sidewalk bridging, and areas with public protection to verify that applicable safety rules, regulations and code compliance is implemented. Additionally, they will identify and communicate any site safety deficiencies and recommendations to the appropriate contractor site personnel and the SCA Project Officer to ensure compliance. Provide written Safety Inspection Reports with photos (of deficiencies and /or site conditions). When warranted, issue Stop Work Orders to the Contractor to cease any operation(s) which pose an imminent danger to workers, school occupants, or pedestrians. Conduct special inspections and respond as necessary to emergencies, accidents, incidents, complaints, and severe weather. Attend protocol and preconstruction meetings. Participate in the implementation of safety training as required. Assure that projects comply with all Federal, NY State, NY City and SCA Safety requirements. Minimum Qualifications: A high school or general education diploma from an accredited program. A minimum of three years performing NYC construction safety inspections. Active New York City Construction Site Safety Manager’s License, or a satisfactory combination of education and experience and commitment to pursue the license. 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification, etc. Ability to climb scaffolding and work from heights.

Role : Accountant

Experience : 3-4 years’ experience

Role : Project Architect Manager

Experience : 10 years of experience.

Description : Our client is seeking Project Architect Manager(s) to work on upcoming projects in New York City. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage consultants and contractors effectively. Accurately prepare space planning and architectural layouts, scope of work, specs. Review and coordinate drawings and specifications prepared by junior staff and consultants to ensure correctness, accuracy and compliance with client standards and expectations. Review project for compliance with building codes, health and safety codes and the ADA. Oversee project development, schedules and budget. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Ten (10) years of experience. Must be proficient in: AutoCAD 2011, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with commercial and office build-out projects. Sketchup and 3D Studio Viz rendering skills LEED experience

Role : Project Architect

Description : Our client is seeking Project Architect(s) to work on upcoming projects in New York City. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Space planning & Design. Create and review working drawings to align with DANY Office standards. Review projects for code compliance and health and safety. Perform other related tasks. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university. Three (3) years of experience (Project Architect). Must be proficient in: AutoCAD 2011, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with commercial and office build-out projects. Sketchup and 3D Studio Viz rendering skills LEED experience

Role : Bridge Inspection, Review construction details

Experience : 6 months

Description : Perform onsite bridge inspection using various equipment such as extension ladder, bucket truck, man lift etc. Review building and bridge construction details and review structural drawings. Review existing structural drawings of structures and interpret. Prepare bridge assessment reports including detailed sketches with accurate measurements. Perform inspections of structural members such as beams, girders, column, cap beam, piers. Perform structural calculations for structural members. Perform inspection of existing structures for spalls, delamination, defect, and cracks. Interpret building and bridge codes and inspect bridge joints to identify water leakage. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (or its U.S. equivalent). Must have six months experience in the following: audits and assessments of structures and equipment; prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD computer software; analysis and modeling of structures using STAAD computer software; perform QA services for large fabrications and steel erection and design temporary shoring and bracing. *40 hours per week. *M-F, 9:00am -5:00pm. *Applicant must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
