As a sub-consultant to Gannett Fleming, MP Engineers provided Construction Inspection for the Resurfacing of Route 33 under an On-Call Construction Inspection contract with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Our Assistant Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector supervised construction inspectors, ensuring that operations and inspections were performed, witnessed and documented in accordance with the specifications, contract drawings and approved NJDOT procedures. Responsibilities included the inspection of HMA milling and paving, drainage structures, curb, guardrail and beam guardrail for the bridge, traffic stripes, marking symbols and rumble strip. Also, inspecting the removal and replacement of new traffic signals and components, as well as the installation of pedestrian signal head and push buttons and radar detectors. Provided inspection of the Work Zone Traffic Control and General safety and prepared as-built drawings for the project. Construction Cost: $2.77M
